Nashville Zoo
For Labor Day, Jason, Courtney, and I visited the Nashville Zoo. We saw macaws, cranes, gibbons, siamangs, meerkats (also known as meekrats in the south), storks, wild dogs, ostriches (performing a mating dance!), frogs, turtles, snakes, spiders, fish, zebras, elands/antelopes/cantelopes, bengals tigers, lynxes, alligators, rhino hornbills, red pandas, lemurs, cassowarys, schmidt's guenons, cougars, porcupines, bongos, toucans, a historic house (woohoo), horses, cows, sheep, lorikeets (color so much color!), hogs, elephants, and giraffes and probably more. It was my first chance to try out my new zoom lens (Canon 70-200L). It worked very well for the most part, but it also made me realize that in the zoo situation, I could always use more zoom!
